Connect the Dots

Ervin Knezek: I couldn't put it down!

“A moving account of a nightmarish family drama.” — Kirkus Reviews

In case you missed it, Austin Woman Magazine just featured me in their October “Survivor” issue. Sloane Wick authored the article and (in my humble opinion) nailed the last line.

First, my thanks to you who have read and commented on my book, You’ll Never Find Us: A Memoir. Since its release two months ago, I’ve experienced a whirlwind of emotions as you shared how the book has affected your lives. Your thoughts and the interviews I’ve done have connected us and been invaluable to my own growth and understanding of the impact of this story.

I have indeed been bowled over by your reviews—multiple “I couldn’t put it down!” reviews as well as comments such as this one:

“Written in flashbacks, the chapters transition well. The author smoothly glides us back and forth through the decades of her youth and womanhood. We are reminded of the roles women of the past were expected to submissively accept and see how this woman, discovering a broader vision of herself, began breaking away from the patriarchal past. . . . I heard the writer’s voice as I read. I felt her joys, was teary by frustrations she shared, laughed at her wit and smirked with her sarcasm.”
—Tessa, Amazon 5-Star Review

While the accolades have felt good and offered validation of my writing, this memoir obviously has a bigger purpose. Readers are resonating with the message of the book, and it’s the broader connection with my readers that matters. My vulnerable story is allowing others (especially women) to know they are not alone. It’s as if we’ve somehow connected the dots to each other’s lives and, in so doing, increased each other’s courage. I’m truly humbled, touched, and grateful that people are realizing the power of vulnerability and accessing courage needed in their own lives.

Would you help me get the book into the hands and hearts of other readers? If you are willing and have the time, here are three simple things you can do:
