Those who do not have power over the story that dominates their lives, the power to retell it, rethink it, deconstruct it… and change it as times change, truly are powerless because they cannot think new thoughts. –Salman Rushdie
These classes offer the support, structure, encouragement and empowerment needed to explore your personal story, examine your creative options and ultimately re-story your life — all in an atmosphere of safety and trust: the Circle. “The Circle” is a structure for group sharing, deep listening and deep conversation.
Classes will incorporate writing exercises and prompts, creative exploration and expression, and meditations — tools that, when coupled with “the Circle,” will guide you to clarity through self-discovery and self-expression. The clearer your thoughts, the better your understanding of who you are now and the better your vision of who you choose to become.
And what’s more important than you discovering who you are? And making your life what you want it to be? It starts with you. And believing that you and your one precious life are worth the investment.
So which workshop is right for you? Enjoy the early-bird discount when you register by July 31st.

The Re-Story Retreat:
Snow White & the Seven Critics: Send the Voices on their Heigh-Ho Way
“Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” And in response to that question what do most of us hear? “Sorry, it’s certainly not you, at least not today. Better luck tomorrow.”
Those critical voices in our heads stop us from believing in ourselves and would tell us just to break the mirror and be done with it. There is, however, a voice inside you that never gives up on you. Want to get in touch with that voice? The one who knows you are the fairest of them all?
It’s easy to get sidetracked and focus on the ways in which your life appears to be flawed. In that frame of mind, you feel disconnected and discontented. But as you become aware of your disharmony, you can make adjustments and bring yourself into alignment with a re-storied voice. Through the use of writing prompts, journaling and sharing our stories, you’ll learn how to make a shift in your thinking. We’ll take a lighthearted but in-depth look at Snow White’s Seven Critics and learn how to send them on their “heigh-ho” way. Note: Re-Story I (or previous Jeanne Guy workshop) is a precursor to and prerequisite for the Re-Story Retreat.
